Ring Them Bells

by Marvin Hubbard

Ring out the time
Ring in the changes
Ring out greed and hypocrisy
Ring in love generosity and compassion
Ring out the power of the few
Ring in Democracy the power of the many
Ring in the citizen the common person
Ring out the destruction of the earth
Ring in the power of love and care for the planet
Ring out the economic weapons of death
Ring out complacency in the midst of death
Ring in love of the ordinary the many the creepy crawlies the life of the earth
In the love of life is the preservation of the Earth
Ring out the power of wealth and greed
Ring in the power of love the power of justice of mercy
Ring in the changes
Ring in the simple gifts
Ring in the Jubilee the whole earth rejoice, rejoice in hope, In hope for what is not yet
